What is Critical Thinking? Is it Important for Student University?
Hello everyone, now we want to talking about what is critical thinking and also why is it important? Before that, let me introduce myself, my name is Puput Nur Kholifah but you can call me Puput, my student ID is 2223210003 and I am from University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa.
When someone ask you what is critical thinking? What will you answer? I think you have your own opinion about that. Alright, in my opinion critical thinking is about a person's way of thinking deeply, rationally and being able to provide a solution from the results of his thoughts related to a problem. So if you have something problem, you may find a solution with critical thinking, to give a small example, when we are still in
elementary school, we will find math problems that we have to do. This makes
us think indirectly about how to get answers to these problems. The reasons why critical thinking is very important because we can solve our problem, we can find a best opinion when we discussion about something and also we can improve our communicate very well. critical thinking is very important used by students in the university life, because with critical thinking students can think critically about a problem and be able to find a wise solution to the problem. Students will not rush to make a decision when they can apply critical thinking in university life. You can learn how to improve your critical thinking and apply in your life when you study, discussion or anything.
I also discussed with my friends regarding the definition of critical thinking and the reasons why critical thinking is so important. After having a discussion I can find a variety of different opinions besides that we can express our opinions. Through the discussions, we learn to always respect the opinions of others and to accept suggestions from others. Critical thinking in the discussion that I did can be directly applied properly.
Digital Technologies in University Life
After we talked about critical thinking among university students, now we want to talk about digital technologies in university life. Is it important or not? And why do university students need digital technologies? 😲
Digital technologies are things related to systems and things that can help in our daily lives. Digital technologies are things that are really needed by students in university life, for example, using the internet, cellphones, laptops, and others. By using digital technologies, students will find it easier to find information and knowledge needed on the internet. Students will also find it easier to communicate with lecturers or other friends. Students' university life cannot be separated from the use of digital technologies. Small activities carried out by students must involve the use of digital technologies in them, therefore digital technologies are very important in university life. The use of digital technologies must also be good and right, students must be able to use digital technologies, from digital technologies we can find the things we need in learning.\
When my friends and I discussed about digital technologies, we realized that what we are doing now cannot be separated from the use of digital technologies such as laptops and cellphones. By discussing, it is easier for me to be able to ask questions related to things I don't know. I can give advice to other friends. The method of learning by discussion makes us understand more about differences of opinion and respect the opinions of others. We can conclude that critical thinking and digital technologies are important things we need in university life. We can apply critical thinking when we study or maybe have a discussion with other friends, and we can also use digital technologies at the same time.
